Howie, for that HT Grid Alien Blister Exclusive...How can we go about ordering one? If I have someone in Japan would they be able to order it from the blister website? Do you know what the Yen conversion would be for it?

Great review!
I'm glad I'm not a big Robocop fan, or I would be all over these babies!

Here's a quick review I posted on another board about the Hot Toys AvP Alien Warrior. Sorry there aren't any pics. emoticon

It is certainly the BEST 1/6 scale Alien figure out there. The sculpting is amazing as Hot Toys nails the detail to a 'T'!Every visible piece of this figure is sculpted down with Giger's "biomechnoid" style that he pioneered with the Alien design. The figure is a mix of plastic and soft (yet durable) rubber and the paint job on the figure (shades of black to dark gray) makes it VERY seamless so you can't tell unless you inspect closely. The whole torso is actually rubber and molded over a unique *new* body that HOT TOYS made especially for this figure (If you are familiar with the AvP Snap-Kit QUEEN,it is similar to that, just bigger and better).

Also...HOT TOYS did several things that just kick the figure up a few notches.

First off,the joints, namely the elbow joints along the inner elbow are covered by a thin layer of rubber to hide the plastic joints.Seriously, this thing looks like it jumped RIGHT out of the movie.Also...along the lower legs (on each) there is a set of tendons that connect between the upper and lower leg that stretch out when you move the knee joint...REALLY cool.To top it all off, there is a switch on the bottom of the Alien's elongated head that when pushed, will stretch the mouth open (complete with soft rubber along the jaw that realistically stretches with the opening mouth!) and push out the inner mouth which can be locked in place if you push the switch the whole way.

Assembly is minimal...you just have to put together his arm (hand-to-wrist and them arm to body),his leg (foot-to-ankle and leg to body) and then his four "tubes" on his back and a short "spike"...all trademark Alien stuff!

He is a monster and stands great next to the Hot Toys Predator and Colonial Marines...he genuinely looks imposing compared to the human figures (Hicks,Apone,etc.).I think I thoroughly enjoyed getting the Alien more than the Predator because I spent most of my time putting the Predator together and was frustrated with some of the delicate pieces...while assembly on the Alien took less than 10 min. once I got all the pieces out of the box and stopped looking them over and the figure is rather durable.Plus he looks like he came right out of the movie.

If you're a Hot Toys fan,an Alien fan,a Predator fan,whatever...this is an absolute MUST-HAVE for any collector. It is a stand-out of Hot Toys' workmanship and their attention to detail.Plus they NOW also have a body frame to hopefully make an ALIENS drone out of as well (since they have that license too).Great work Hot Toys!!!!

Yeah. You can order it from blister web site if you have friend in Japan, coz they only ship within Japan.

Grid Alien is $16500 yen for preorder, and it is about $142 USD.
