Take notes, Medicom.

Hey everyone,

I was looking around for Spiderman stuff on Evilbay, and guess what I found:

http://www.action-figure.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=676

Apparently, back in 2004, they made an 18" 67-points super-articulated Spiderman figure, that they aformentioned hand belongs to. With these, you can actually pose Spidey's hand almost ANY way you want to. He even has moveable thumb joints!:holy:

I'm thinking, if Toybiz can make a hand like that, Medicom sure as hell can.

Heck, if I somehow manage to get a Medi Movie Spidey, I'll probably buy one of these, somehow remove the hands and transplant them onto the Medi Spidey's wrists.

What does everyone think? Good, bad(Ugly)?

I have that Spidey, yes it is big and very cool. But his hands wouldn't work on a Medicom because of the scale difference. You could do it, but Spidey's hands would be HUGE!!

Super articulated hands sort of defeate the purpose though since almost all joints are hidden under fabric. Medicom does a decent job with Spiderman in terms of hands. And it looks like Bruce Lee will have a good number as well. Its something I'd like to see with all 1/6 figures more hands.

The Marvel Icons 12" series have rotocast hands where you can move some of the fingers at least the Hulk figure does.

So it would be possible to build it into the next 12" release I'd like to see them do it for the forthcoming Spider-Man 3 release but I doubt they will.

Spiderbob have you considered buying the 12" Marvel Icons version of Spider-Man that ToyBiz just released?

It's not exactly a Medicom but it's a good quality figure considering the price point and will be far easier to find.

I have that large Spider-Man and it's cool to play with but I'd rather have multiple hands that can do multiple poses when it comes to 1/6. I'm not big on exposed joints anyway. I like Marvel Legends a lot but I think some of the joints ruin the aesthetic of the figure. Everyone is more concerned about the joint count than how the overall figure looks.

That's why joint wise I like the Max Factory and Kaiyodo way of doing it.

Couldn't agree more, it's no Medicom Comic Book Spider-Man, but when you consider the price point it's not a bad figure.

The ML line is cool and mostly I go with some of the releases because there's really nothing else.

Now if Medicom started a regular line of Marvel Supeheroes I'd be all over it like white on rice and those Marvel Legends would be going to the charity shop.

Alas hasn't happened yet though emoticon

Well what's out there isn't too bad.

Spider-Man
Spider-Man 2 (Movie)
Black Costume Spider-Man
Venom
Carnage
Wolverine (Comic)
Wolverine X3
Cyclops
Ghost Rider

While I'd like more that's not too bad. By contrast they only have Superman and Batman out there for DC characters.
