Re: MEDICOM ULTRAMAN STUFF
Ultraman Ace human form, Seiji Hokuto and Ace Killer are now up on Medicom's website. Looks like a December release for both.
Why do they have to do this to my bank account?!?

Re: MEDICOM ULTRAMAN STUFF
Just want to ask my fellow collectors here anyone of you own Hayata or Dan Moroboshi or Anne Yuri and had display them with their helmets on?
I am worried that the helmet liner’s black dye will transfer to the sculpt. Can anyone here address my concerns?
Well my Old KR No.1 Ver 2 had portion of its neck blackened by the costume’s collar. But that is ok since it is only on the neck portion. So I don’t hope to have the face blackened cos that’ll ruin the whole thing.
Any advise is much appreciated

Re: MEDICOM ULTRAMAN STUFF
Here is something I got this noon. Surprise I can still get it taking into account that pre-order was closed way back in Oct 07.
So now my earlier query on the dye stain issue become more urgent
Quickly took it out for a quick assessment. The immediate feel is that Hideki is taller than the usual Medicom's 1:6 scale figure. So much so that the edge of the pants just stretched enough to go into the top edge of the boots.
A picture for comparing height difference to Moroboshi. Is Hideki really taller the a normal Japanese guy in real life (ie when watching the Ultraman Return's series)?

Re: MEDICOM ULTRAMAN STUFF
I have no experiences with Ultraman Human forms but maybe this will help.
How bout sticking a plastic wrap or something at the contact area for the helmet? Kinda like what Medi did for Jango Fett.
Or a better example, how they always put a transparent plastic behind the Kamen Rider Belts.

Re: MEDICOM ULTRAMAN STUFF
DT - I share your same sentiments. Since I can't get most of the KRs human form, I thought to start off with Ultraman makes better sense since the only real one I can't get is Hayata (there is one now @ eBay asking for USD800!!!!) But I do have Cool Girl Akkiko Fuji, so not so bad
Will continue to get Ultraman and its human form probably up to Ultraman Leo.
Kaz - Thanks for your suggestion and do you know what? Your method is exactly the one I used

Re: MEDICOM ULTRAMAN STUFF
Anyone know where I can pick up Hideki Go and have it shipped to the US? There's one on Ebay US for $300 DOLLARS!!! However, I'd like to pay a lot less than that.
Man, I'm really getting sick of people trying to gouge collector's right out of the gate!

Re: MEDICOM ULTRAMAN STUFF
Porkins - haha, great mind thinks alike?
But what I realised from Hideki Go is that, Medicom's paintjob & sculpt has really improved as compared to the past.
Now it the color & skintone looks so much more realistic and not as pale. Also, their figures are getting taller.
Its good to see that they are improving!

Re: MEDICOM ULTRAMAN STUFF
Ultranimator - I got lucky when I gave my favourite retailer a call to just hope he has one as "extra" or folks who pre-ordered it got 2nd thoughts when it came. Happens that he had a spare and I promptly put my money down for it.
Alternatively, there is one now at Yahoo HK. Though the auction indicates it is not going to ship overseas, but I recognise the seller who also sells at eBay. So you leave him a message and I am pretty sure he'll be glad to ship it out to the US.
Here is the link : http://hk.f1.page.auctions.yahoo.com/hk/auction/1115579301
Kaz - Guess thats the only way to go yah ie celophane paper to the rescue LOL!! And you were right, Hideki's sculpt is evidently having marked improvements as oppose to Dan. Hope future human forms get the new threatment

Re: MEDICOM ULTRAMAN STUFF
Thanks for the info Porkins, I think may just have scored one for retail. I'm waiting for the seller to get back to me.
