Kevin Smith is probably the best example of someone who was beyond late. But you'd think that after someone like that pulled that kind of crap you wouldnt let it happen again.

Marvel and DC really need to stop just letting these big hollywood writters do whatever they want. Same with these so called "superstar" artists. Jim Lee is great but when it takes you a year to produce a single issue of a book that 's no good your worthless at that rate and not worth what your being paid.

Lee is the worst IMO. It has been said that Miller has the scripts in time for All Star Batman and Lee just takes his time on the art. I wonder why DC thinks they can't put there foot down? In the real business world you would be fired if you can't deliever on schedule.
PBK - Justice is always cool. Right now it is THE best book on the market. I wish it was a regular title as I would buy the 6 issues ever year if Ross did this book for the rest of his life. Think about the stories that could come after this. JSA, Titans, more JLA members etc. Endless possablilities.

See the problem isnt so much that Jim Lee takes his time its actually DC's fault. They made him art director for the DC massive Multiplayer game. Then they allow him to start Wildcats knowing that All Star is already late as it is. Then of course he does various covers for things. Then to make it worse of course the editors just make jokes out of its latness. Saying they saw more pages for it etc. Now apparently 5 and 6 are done. They are just waiting to ship until they have a few finished. They will be doing this from now on with All star books.

Bought the Justice Hardcover volume one this weekend since I've been meaning to for some time since volume two has been released I decided to do it now.

I haven't read it yet and will probably wait till volume 2 and 3 are released so I can read the whole thing at my own leisure.

Love the Alex Ross art on the cover of volume two, which has the whole Legion Of Doom line up beautifully rendered.

I hate Jim Lees art, sorry, not to be harsh, just do. Him and Michael Turner, everyone looks like European super models.

Justice is my fav. series right now though, so original, yet so timeless. Jeff Smith's Shazam is great too, but I love Bone (insert dirty joke) and I love Capt. Marvel so it's like an instant classic in my book.

SO everyone get their Cap America? I read it, and sold it, and that sale paid for all the comics and then some I bought last week! I was lucky, I called my local shop and they said they had 1 left, I charged it up over the phone and it was that easy. I do hate when stuff like ths happens, cause most the time everyone getting the comic for retail are just people who don't even like comics. I'm sure the price of this thing will die down after a few, like Supermans death.

There are three comic book shops in my local city and when I went there on saturday all three were sold out of Captain America 25.

I can't remember the last time that happened but I think it was a few years ago with the conclusion of the Hush arc in Batman.

I don't usually buy Cap so I wasn't all that bothered, especially as Marvel will probably do second and third printings and a TPB at some stage.

Still, the event obviously managed to catch the attention of more than the regular crowd that frequents the comic book store for it to sell out like that.

I like Jim Lee and Micheal Turner but they need to stock pile books these guys are on. I know at times Turner's health is an issue but even when its not he's not a monthly kind of guy.

Captain Amercia 25's price has already gone down. And it will go down further next week when the over print issues hit and everybody who wants a 1st print has one. It was never going to hold its value for long.

They had copies of Captain America 25 over on [sign in to see URL] last week going for upwards of fifty dollars for both covers, bit of short term extortion.

Well like you guys I'm waiting out on B+R Allstars. Though I have to admit the delays don't bother me, as I don't get into London regularly and thought I must have a few issues, I was ammazed to be told nothing was out since the last one i had.
The comics i'm enjoying a lot at present are the two Burleyman titles 'Doc Frankenstein' but mostly 'Shoalin Cowboy', I just love Geoff Darrows work, I first came accross him when he did Hard Boiled for DH years ago. And I seem to remember each issue was like a year appart (thank god there were only 3). But it was worth the wait every panel is genius!
My other big fave is [sign in to see URL] Campbell. His work is always so cool and effortless (great Spidey covers) but the old Danger Girl he did is a constant source of refference for me when i need a sexy babe for an illustration.

The original Danger Girl mini series was just great, the Hawaiian Punch and the other one shot wasn't as good, at least IMO.

I bought issue one and two of All Star B&R to start with and then drifted away from comics for a while when I started working shifts.

About a year later when I came back, I was surprised to find they were still waiting for issue 5 to be released, so that's like 2 issues in a year.

I'm more of a trade paperback or HC guy these days, just because they're easier to get hold of if you don't visit the LCS regularly.
