If SSC sold cars you'd actually get a pizza delivered and a little note claiming that "cars are difficult to make" emoticon
SSC & GG know damn well that some fanboys will buy anything with the SW name on regardless of the quality and as long as the proto looks good enough to ensure a sell out on pre-order day they don't give a crap about how the final piece turns out.

LOL.

I think the problem is that Sideshow's trying too hard to entice the hungry consumers. The protos are custom painted to the minuscule of detail and it is impossible to be replicated by the factory workers.
I wouldnt be calling it "Bait and Switch" cos that's just wrong and unethical on Sideshow's part if it's true but I can see how pissed off the collectors sre when they see crappy differences in production pieces.

The plastic used for medicom headsculpts acts as the base colour and all the factory painters have to do is just colour the other details like eyes and lips. What you get is very consistant workmanship without compromising the end quality. Plus I love the medicom paint job, it is not too much like as if someones wearing thick makeup.

In actual fact all my SSC bashing is part of a cunning plan to hide the real truth that I own every single 1/6 figure they have made and wish that nobody else gets anywhere near the SW license especially those nasty Asian companies with their accurate body proportions, well tailored attire and production pieces that are virtually the same as the prototypes :roflrofl

Joking aside my only real issue with SSC is the 1/6 SW figures as that's my main area of intrest, for the most part I think their other stuff is very good and I really mean that. I know I go a bit over the top with my remarks sometimes but I just hate to see the main license I want to buy 1/6 figures from wasted on a company that despite steadily increasing the price seems to have zero intrest in improving their figures. Some people like to take the attitude of "just be thankful we are getting them at all" and put up with any crap a company throws at them and delude themselves into thinking it's a quality product, but after having my eyes opened to just how good 1/6 figures can be through Medicom,Hot Toys & others I'll no longer accept anything less than that kind of quality even if it means missing out on figures of characters I'd really like to have.

Re: Celebration IV SS Exc Cermonial Luke

I think that's something alot of fans don't consider when reading other fans posts on the boards in general, we all love SW and we all want to see the best possible products made for two reason a, we work hard to pay for the damn stuff and b, we want to see each of the characters done justice and made in the most realistic way possible.

I don't feel sorry for SSC as a company when there is fan backlash, at the end of the day the company is making millions of dollars by selling Star Wars items and fan criticism is part of having that license, like making a ton of money is also part of having that same license.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and something I think is utter crap, someone else might think is wonderful, that's just life.
