Everyone will agree no figure is perfect and Sideshow does offer SW figures in 1/6 scale for about half of a medicom figure. But with a few exceptions I do feel as though Sideshow is giving us Half the quality or less of Medicom. Sideshow has some very talented sculptors and the factory paint is killing thier work.

I think that people would complain less about the tailoring if the paint was great. At least the clothes you can sort of play around with until they look accetable. the paint thats a whole other issue.

That's pretty much it.

I think if the sculpt and paint apps look good, so that the figure looks like the character, that can cover up a multitude of sins.

Clothing and costume is important, but the likeness is usually the first thing the fans look at or comment on when a new figure is unveilled.

Exactly, clothes and tailoring and other parts of the figure are important, but the likeness is essential, at least in my opinion.

To be honest, I tend to look at figures as a whole. While the headsculpt is important, I dont really focus on it.

The overall look is most important to me.

Not just the Headsculpt, not the materials of the clothes. It's all those things combined that makes a good looking figure.

i think with the right wig and costume yavin luke would make an excellent transvestite hooker. he has that strange wide-eyed nervous yet inviting look in his eyes, paint that looks like layers and layers of feature-killing foundation, and a big ass pimpin' medallion.

i'll just tell everyone on the freaks board that all is not lost - on with the tranny bashing (and by that i mean kitbashing, not beating up transvestites - i have nothing against transvestites).

let's hope that IF obi-wan turns out bad, he turns out feminine bad. then i can add a mother figure to my custom transvestite figure collection.
