I also tend to look at the whole figure and while I agree the likeness is important it's not the be all and end all of a figure being good as some of the SSC fanboys seem to think. The RAH Jedi Luke is a great example, sure the likeness isn't great but that's the only major issue with the figure and I still prefer it to the deformed looking SSC figure. If the production paintjobs were the only issue with SSC's figs then I wouldn't give them such a hard time but when you add the cheap & nasty looking attire,Bobble Head syndrome, awful base body and often dubious character choices into the mix there's nothing to convince me to buy them over the vastly superior offerings from Medicom & Hot Toys and I reckon if Obi-Wan turns out to be another turd that SSC will see a big decrease in sales, hopefully to the point where they lose the license.

LOL. Bit Harsh there BCM, I for one dont want SSC to lose its liscence ( I doubt they will) Competition will be good for the collectors. At least the SSC SW can be pretty useful for kitbashing.

I just think that they have had enough of a chance to produce a high quality 1/6 line and have delivered little beyond some nice looking protos and BS excuses for various things not being made. If Lucasfilm ever allow Hot Toys to enter the 1/6 SW figure arena I predict that the SSC line would be dead in a year, especially if they show the same fearlessness for making unique body types or never before done large scale items as they have with smaller licenses such as Aliens or Robocop.

Their Terminator Endoskeleton was incredible

If SSC do keep producing badly made figures, I personally wouldn't be too fussed whether they kept the license or not, cos I wouldn't be buying them anyway.

I don't particularly want it to happen, I'd prefer they stepped up their game and made improved figures at the same reasonable price

I think there's a need for that to happen, if it does I'll be impressed and start to pick up the line again, if doesn't I won't and don't really care what happens to the license if that ends up being the case down the line.

That's true enough if the staff they had were unable to make armoured figures, then the solution is to hire staff from other companies that can do the job surely, as you say Mr Simmons with an SW license, the cash would come rolling in.
