Re: Fixing Your Broken RAH Bodies

Thanks, Kaido. Yeah, I know, it's really crappy of him to list it as being 'good condition'. I wouldn't have even considered buying him in that condition at the price I paid. Even if he didn't know about it and was selling it for a friend, he should still have checked it. The jeans laid over like that must have been a huge red flag. I heard back from him this morning and he offered $50 off, so I'm trying to get him to budge on that. 25% - 50% off sounds fair to me. I know the model is rare and I don't want to rip him off, but $50? I hope it can be sorted out, because I am interested in how Medicom will deal with the damage. Thanks again for your advice.

Good luck, and feel free to keep us posted what happens next!

Even if Medicom won't help you, you can probably pick up a new improved RAH nude body and with a little bit of modification, fix it up yourself. The money you get back from the seller will help go towards that.

Re: Fixing Your Broken RAH Bodies

Hi I am new to the forum and I just joined to get some much needed help.

I just got my RAH Link in the mail and when I opened him up I noticed immediately that his scabbard was broken straight off from his back strap. (pictures below) The strap is made from a hard vinyl it seems, and the scabbard/sheath is made from plastic.

What kind of adhesive should I use to repair this problem without damaging either material, also I am afraid of damaging his felt tunic with glue so I need application suggestions as well

Should be an easy fix.

I have Link too.

This is my recommendation.

To avoid getting any glue on his tunic, you will need to remove the strap right off the figure.

I think the best way will be to gently pop off the head and the hands and the gauntlets, carefully raise both his arms as straight up as necessary, like you're taking off a sweater and gently work one part of the strap off him then the other.

Now just use any quick drying clear Krazy Glue. Just a couple of small drops will do it. Give it a while to let it dry, then put everything back together.

I'm pretty lost myself...

I got a RAH Miku Hatsune the other [sign in to see URL] when trying to free up her shoulder joint, the peg snapped right off! All nude RAH bodies I've seen use different arms altogether. I've emailed Medicom last Sunday (Monday in JP time) but have yet to hear back from them

Am I screwed or...?

Maybe they will sell you a nude body for your poor Miku. Worse case scenario, you could get a new one for $130 off Amazon and try to part out and sell off your broken one... someone out there will want to do a custom, I'm sure, or have use for some of her accessories and outfit.

Thanks for the reply! Medicom literally just answered my email mere minutes before you. They asked for photos and when and where i bought miku. I have since replied with such info so hopefully they'll be willing to send me a new joint or 2!

But yes i also like your idea too. If it comes to that, I'll list her here and buy a new one XD thanks!

I think they might be able to just give me a new joint. Since the broken part is just a small universal pivot joint connecting her arm to her shoulder. About the size of a marble...

Thank you! I am pleased to say I have received the replacement joint yesterday and Miku is once again whole! emoticon It cost me shipping only. They also sent me a torso as they think mine might be defective.
