Re: I AM IRON MAN...
This may not be popular but....
I don't see the big deal with BR. (yes it looks great and i have one)
But to me the difference is not as big as VHS to DVD.
BR looks very nice and a tad cleaner than DVD but the difference isn't so huge than it's an absolute must. (there's some nice sound differences as well)
Just My opinion.
That being said i'm getting IM on BR today!!

i've actually been looking at a few blu-ray player + HD projector combos myself. but if i go ahead with the purchase, it means no more figures for me for a year or 2.

Re: I AM IRON MAN...
Wow Red, u finally convince your wife?
I think I shall put off buying the HD TV & Blu-Ray stuff till I get my own apartment, everything is just inconvenient at my sister's apartment.
In the mean time......I think I shall just get my DSLR.

Fantastic! Enjoy Red I'm sure you won't regret it. Got any discs yet?

It was just early review copies. The current copies everyone bought are fine, the authoring problem was corrected.
From Blu-ray.com:
"The forums are lit up this morning with news that the upcoming Blu-ray release of 'Iron Man' has been recalled. A few weeks back, some of those receiving review copies reported trouble playing the disc in their Blu-ray players. Apparently, there is an authoring problem with the disc, and distributors have been issued direction to send back all product.
According to those distributors, Paramount is doing everything possible to get enough replacement discs to retailers in time for its September 30th release date, but it may not be able to meet the demand. If Paramount can't get enough titles onto retail shelves, they may delay the title until October 7th."
I did buy the deluxe Iron Man BR, my version came with a small Mark III helmet statue, a couple of mini comics and a $50 Sideshow Collectibles certificate. Unfortunately the certificate is only good for select items. I'm still trying to decide what to buy. I think it will be Medicom Punisher-Venom.

Re: I AM IRON MAN...
Yeah I sweet talked her enough....I'm good what can I say! :roflrofl Well to be honest I have sold a bunch of figures and I sold the old tv so I gotten about $700 towards paying it off already. Of course jabba, I have Ironman, Batman Begins, Speed Racer, Sex and the City (for my wife, had to butter her up ), Cars (for my son), and I got these 3 free with the tv, Invincible, 50 First Dates, and Night at the Museum.
