Is it the same type of rubber for the Kouichi Todome figure or did they fix it?

Re: Takara Kerberos review

I have Kouichi too , but it looks the same. Only time will tell if it is a better quality rubber.

BTW, I found a "fix" for the hose rips. Its not the best solution, but it appears to have actually worked for now. Time will tell how long it will last.

I superglued each individual link on the hose. Naturally this left it looking pretty ugly, so I dipped the hose in some Citadel acrylic Chaos Black paint. Citadel paint has some level of flexibility to it and resists cracking. Dipping allows a thick coat with a smooth finish. It worked and looks ok, I lost some of the detail of the hose links, but they are still visible. And the best part is after 2 days the paint is not cracking or ripping even as I move the head and hose around.

If the paint ends up cracking I am going to remove the hose and replace it with a plastic hose from a flight helmet oxygen mask (costly replacement).

Re: Takara Kerberos review

New guy posting with a long post,

I think that the cracking is caused by the high stress the rubber hose undergoes. It is a reletivly long to allow the head full range of motion without pulling out of it's socket but with the head in a resting porstion the hose is nearly bent it two. Putting a large amount of stress on it.

I just got my Midori Washio figure saturday. The hoses on her are in a nearly straight and in their natural postion. That is why her figure doesn't seem to crack while the others do.

If you place an adhesive sealant like super glue (My foavorite is Amazing Goop) in the cracks, I think it should help.

I bought the DID Metal 50 chain Bullets but the chain just turn around and bullets don't align themselves in the same direction. It's probably weight distribution problem but anyway i can line them up neatly when the Kerberos is holding it?

I know what you mean about the twisting problem and I don't think there's a perfect solution.

In the show, a long strip of bullets were pulled right out of the backpack and loaded into the gun and the bullets were just balanced and hanging on his left forearm; they didn't connect all the way to his backpack.

I think depend on the show they either balance it with their arm or straight away connect from Backpack.

I know Medicom Red Spectacles has the option to hang from backpack to chest, then pull the bullet from the chest & into the gun.

I bought another Metal Bullet 50 pc chain which is less flimsy, doesn't have the twisty problem but not that cheap.

The metal guns seems too heavy for some kerberos figures like Jin-Roh.
