Hey, T-Rat was one of my faves as well!
Are any of you into Sigma 6? I bought a Sigma 6 Tunnel Rat and ended up buying the entire line. I still buy Sigma 6. Lately though, the line is starting to go downhill.
I tried to stay away from them, as I thought they looked kind of crappy. But I really loved Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes so much as a kid. That combined with some Crawford reviews pushed me over the edge to check them out. Ended up getting the first versions of Snake Eyes and SS, and more recently Firefly.
The weapon cases are too cool, and the figures are actually very fun and durable. I dont display them or really much do anything with them since the day I bought them, but they are a cool line.

Re: GI JOE 25th
They are getting crappier, IMHO, as they are moving away from actual clothes and moulding the pants. They're also giving less accessories but charging the same price which sucks. Finally, they are targetting younger audience more and more which is a shame too. The first wave was quite dark & mature, it could be for kids or for adults; now it is more colorful & the weapons look sillier & sillier. If you can find them, get a Lt. Stone and a v.1 Duke too.
I've got the entire line and still getting them. May as well until things get really bad, I guess.

No unfortunately, Zartan doesn't change color. I don't think he changes color in the new cartoon either. It bothered me for a while, but it's a pretty cool figure.
The SEs & Storm Shadow are sorta kitbashed together w/ gear from other SEs & Storm Shadows. These pics were also taken most recently, which may be why they better than the others. I can see my posing & picture taking has improved over time!

Re: GI JOE 25th
Oh yah, for sure. Lots of other toys influenced these guys for sure. The upcoming Iron Grenadier figure is copied somewhat off the protect gear, I'm sure. some "Gazelle the Peacemaker" influences for Desert Long Range too.
Ultimately the toys are fun to play with and they're quite sturdy for the most part. However, I'm too old to play and just dress them up, display them in a cool pose and leave them be. 1/6 does that so much better!
