I got it already, bro! Also in my 'watch someday' pile! I also have 'When the last sword is drawn.'

Finally dusted off my HD DVD copy of "A Scanner Darkly," I liked it, my wife not so much, way too much talking for her. I thought it was pretty cool!

I finally came out of hiding from under my rock and saw James Cameron's Avatar in 3D.

Fantastic movie! Everyone go watch this!

Too busy with the work schedule?

I have three kids, so it's not common that we can get out to watch a film. Going to the movies used to be my most very favorite pass time, while my friends wanted to go clubbing, I'd always want to go watch a movie and then go for a slice afterwards instead.

I think the last movie we went out to see in the theatres was Inglourious Basterrds.

I heard so much positive stuff about Avatar I finally made a date with my wife and got the in-laws to baby sit to see what the hoopla was. We caught it on a Sunday matinee in 3-D. It was a really good time. We went for a slice afterwards too. emoticon

Yes. Work and half of my time as a single father. I'll probably go see it when I can find a few hours to myself.

Re: Nobody seeing any movies lately?

I picked up "Ponyo" & "Where the Wild Things Are" on Bluray today. Then later tonight, I also found a $10 off coupon for Ponyo from Disney's web site, but it's only good for the next few days, so you'll need to act quick if you're in the USA or Canada. I'll have to buy another copy with the coupon and return the one I opened.

Animated movies on Blu-Ray look awesome on the HDTV.

Btw, Ponyo wasn't bad, the animation was pretty cool, but it isn't my favorite Miyazaki film. It's definitely aimed at the younger set and the story is a bit too simple for adults, imho. The imagery is great tho so I don't regret the purchase.
