Hi Mirak! In this picture is a big statue. What is that? And can one buy it or is it some sort of special issue?

Erm...the Pink girl with chains is Andromda Shun, but he is a guy...yes I know the good looks are kinda confusing, but most of the characters in saint seiya tend to look abit androgynous.

Infact, Pandora is the only female figure, that has been released so far.

 :roflrofl

You know, I was always turned off from St. Seiya because I thought it was drawn very 'girly.' I was always a Hokuto & City Hunter kid.

Usually, the show, videogame, or manga makes me look for the toy... this time it's the toys making me look for the show!

That's The goddess Athena , it's a replica of the one you see in the saint seiya anime ,
you can buy them on ebay but it's not an official Bandai product !

PS: I'll post some pictures later of how I made my dioramas !

Bye ! emoticon

How I made my diorama

step 1 (the modeling)

step 2 (first layer of grey acrylic paint)

step 3 (adding shadow effects with black
waterbased paint)

step 4 (adding a brushing effect with
a sponge with white waterbased paint)

As a final touch I added some grass spots

wow!! That's great stuff!

I have some questions Mirak about the modelling part... how did you make the lines in the columns? What is the mushy green stuff?

I'm going to do this too! Very inspirational! Thank you!

The pillars are made of ribbled cardboard
that I glued on toiletpaper rolls (you can
also use something else then toiletpaper rolls, perhaps something more sturdy ),
and then I filled them up with
isolation foam , witch I also used for making the rocks.

look at the close-up:
Image
(this is a picture of my first diorama I
made and here the pillar is filled up with
polystyrene that I have cut into a round shape , that was too much work and that's
why in the second diorama I filled them up
with isolation foam )

The "mushy green stuff" is simply fake grass
that you can buy in modelling shops!

Thanks so much Mirak!

I enjoy these figures quite a bit, but they are so pricey I don't know if I can continue... I think for now, I must avoid the gold saints at all costs, or I am doomed... my strategy is to buy the 5 main Bronze & then pick and choose the other characters.
