Coming to Singapore? look me up if your free, I'll bring u for a toy shopping spree & better make it a Sunday cos thats the best day for Toy hunting!!!

Have fun with the various settings of the camera, it's addictive & soon u will find yourself wanting to buy new lenses, like u want to buy new toys.

Sure man, thank you... when my wife and me were deciding where to travel, we had just seen a documentary of Singapore on Discovery Theatre, and it looked so cool, that we decided to visit, this is my first trip to Asia actually, so I am very excited. I have a friend who is an airplane pilot, so me and the wife are staying with him.

I really need to know where all the toy stores are. It's gonna be exciting to actually see the toys in a store, since all my stuff is bought directly from the internet... I can only think that being in the store and actually seeing everything in person, can really make you do a lot of impulse buying...

Anyhoo I'm looking forward to it...

Rarra, if you want to see the toys in the store, you may want to add Hong Kong to your itinerary and go hit Mong Kok. I think toys would be a bit cheaper there too.

Don't worry about hijacking posts, especially this one, no one was using it for a long time, lolz.

You're not going to find too many cheap toys in Malaysia... I would suggest to save your money for HK. You could also just ship the figures back to your home. HK post is pretty cheap I think.

Yeah, no worries about hijacking the post, we are all cool over here at Mediworld.

I would agree with Kaido, I think u can find much cheaper toys at HK. Singapore's prices are ok & u have to find the right shop or do some bargaining (which I'm very poor at, so I always try to find the right shop).

Transporting figures will be a serious problem, best solution is to ship them back if you dont want to overload your luggage limit.

I bought a new lens! emoticon
EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM

Most expensive lens I own to date. Luckily my friend was upgrading his equipment and agreed to sell the lens+hood to me at a discounted price and I could pay him over a period of two months.

Just a shot of my sister's cat, no time to take toys yet.

I'm Lovin'it!

And I blame MasterMonkey for his recommendation lolz emoticon

JuN, did you have to buy a hood or a filter for your lens?

I been researching, looks like I would have to go two - three months no toys before I can afford that baby, but reading the reviews, I think this is gonna be 'the one' for me too! Still looking at around $1100 bucks.

Yer friend sold to you for cheap? I'm scared to know what he replaced his with!

UNDICI - Those are some awesome shots!
Kaido - My friend sold it to me together with the hood but I'm planning to buy a lens filter. I'm kinda kiasu (singlish term for scared to die) and would definitely recommend a hood or lens filter to protect the lens.

Yeah, the price of the lens is enough to let you buy around ten 1/6 figures. But the lens is worth the purchase, it's kinda heavy though and tends to dive down when hanging on the neck cos the 450D is kinda [sign in to see URL] be a little more careful when letting it hang.

lolz, he didn't really sell it to me for cheap just slightly cheaper than retail. He got a 5D Mark II and he's planning to get the EF 24-70mm [sign in to see URL] USM lens.
