SSC Darth Sidious And Palpatine Two Pack
Apparently SSC have revealed they're plans to make a 1/6 Darth Sidious and Palpatine 2 pack, now this was the kind of announcement I was waiting for 
No pics yet, but if these figures are well done, they just might be the ones to drag me back to SSC's 1/6 line, sounds very promising.

I wonder if we'll get Senator Palpatine and Darth Sidious as they first appeared in TPM or whether they'll give us the more recent ROTS versions of the characters.
The Palpatine in red outfit from the office duel with Mace seems to be a fan favourite, maybe they'll give us that one and then a cloaked and scarred version.

Based on the silouttes on the video it seems to be ROTS Palpatine the hair isnt puffy enough to be TPM. Also the better news is that apparently the new bodies that were co developed by Hot Toys will be used on all sized figures. If this is ture this means that possibly any figure in 08 will no longer have the !@#$ tastic Art S Buck body.

Well I think most people agree that most of the time Sideshow's headsculpts are great (yes the paint apps on them suck but thats a whole other issue)Accesories also great.
Body
Paint
Tailoring these all need work.
Now the body issue will be resolved hopefully a more proportiante body will help tailoring. Paint well thats a whole other issue that may nevr get sored out.

The bodies are only the tip of the iceberg as far as SSC's 1/6 figs are concerned.
The big heads,dodgy paint & horrible tailoring need resolving just as much and not over a period of time,it needs doing NOW,even if it means delaying new releases/pre-orders for a while.
SSC must be pretty inept if they had to get Hot Toys to assist them with making new base bodies,maybe they'll end up getting Medicom's assistance in making armored figs too.
The only Palpatine I'm intrested in is from ROTJ and though the news of new base bodies sounds a bit more encouraging I'd still prefer an RAH version,though I expect SSC would be more likely to make a Throne for him to sit on.
