Gray Midori doesn't get enough love; I like her a lot... to me she's even more interesting than the black Midori, especially now that most black Panzer Cops coming out are all black.

I love my gray Midori, maybe even more than my black Midori... I treat my black Midori very prim & proper, but I don't care as much about gray Midori so I always have her in some action poses! If she came with a gun-finger left hand, I would have her firing both guns at once.

Anyway, hope you enjoy these pics!

Great pics, Kaido! Really stands out from the white background.

The more I see this model, the more I want one. But I don't like owning models from things I don't like or, in this case, things I have never seen. I want to see some Jin-Roh, just so I can get one of these! emoticon

Rest In Peace Heath. You will be sorely missed.

Neither did I. I had no idea who or what a Jin Roh (the male Takara one) was, but I took the plunge because he looked so awesome. Didn't regret it at all, he's great, one of my personal favorites...... That's when I started looking for the movies to figure out who this guy was, lol.

Re: Show off your takara figs here

Thanks guys!

Shoot, I'll try to give a quick summary of the Jin Roh world without boring everyone to tears. There's been a comic series (Darkhorse printed it out years ago, called Hellhounds), an animated motion picture, and three live action movies based on the world so far (that I know of). The comics were excellent and the animated motion picture 'Jin Roh - The Wolf Brigade' was okay too. The live action movies I haven't seen, but critics have totally dissed them everywhere for being too experimental to being just plain boring.

The 'story'... well, there isn't really one. It's really just stories set about an alternate history of Japan during World War II times. Japan has an obvious German influence now, and have their own "Capital Police" force which are the trademark badass-spooky-looking armored cops.

These guys are creme of the crop and set up to put down insurgents without prejudice. In a way, they're bad guys, but they're portrayed as soldiers doing their job. There's really no super hero, or particular main character who leads the stories, but the "Jin Roh" movie focused on one particular character (Constable Fuse) and splinter cell platoon which he was a part of (The Jin Roh Wolf Brigade). Medicom made a Fuse figure. This Midori figure I think is from a couple of Hellhounds short stories and I think she also makes an appearance in one or a few of the live action movies. The Chuichi figure just released by Takara, I have no idea, but I think he was also a character in one of the live action movies.

Anyway, I would recommend the 'Jin Roh - The Wolf Brigade' animated movie and the comic series 'Hellhounds,' but neither are as cool as the Chuichi or even the Midori 1/6 figure.

If I'm not mistaken, Chuichi and Midori are alternate designs of the Protect Gear armor, something like a futuristic representation of the one worn in the Anime (the live-action movie armor sets lack the 3 stripes on either side of the chest).

There are plans for a radio drama next year (as well as an Anime), in this case the story is set in an alternate WWII, with the Protect Gear users being German soldiers. The armor will also have a medieval look to it.

Yes, I agree, I don't think they're very comic or show accurate. But they're very nice looking!! As for being futuristic, I don't know; their weapons are still WWII era weapons. Maybe they're an upgraded version of that time? In any case, they are so cool!!

I did see a pic of that medieval looking Protect Gear a month ago! I nearly fell off my chair when I saw it, it looked so awesome, but now I forgot where I saw it, but it was on another forum. If you know a link to that photo, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks very much man!

I just can't wait to get this! If you guys haven't noticed, I really like these Protect Gear dudes.

Got any more pics of it stowed away somewhere?

Actually, looking at this again, is it possible it's a custom?? Just the base and the 'battle damage' paint job lead me to wonder... I would think that if it was a brand new item, they wouldn't display it like that. It almost seems like an entry to a contest or something.
