Re: Nobody Seeing Any DVD's Lately
Finally watched Beowolf tonight and thought it was kick ass! The cgi or whatever they're callin' it was weird at first but after awhile I didn't even think about it. The acting was good and not being familiar with the story really added to my viewing pleasure. And might I add Angelina Jolie is one hot monster!!!

Re: Nobody Seeing Any DVD's Lately
I finally got around to watching The Darjeeling Limited on dvd. I loved it, even more so than some of the best of Wes Anderson's work (Rushmore, Royal Tenenbaums).
Beowulf was definitely cool, especially in 3-D!!! And you're absolutely posi-friggin-tively right RW, Angelina makes for one hot monster.

Re: Nobody Seeing Any DVD's Lately
I heard about that Darjeeling Limited, didn't know it was Wes Anderson though, I'll definately check it out now! I couldn't imagine Beowolf in 3D, that must have been mind blowing!

Re: Nobody Seeing Any DVD's Lately
I couldn't enjoy Into The Wild. I'm not sure why. I thought the main character was annoying.
But it was nice to look at, lots of great outdoor shots.
Watched 30 Days of Night yesterday and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I haven't enjoyed a vampire flick in a long time.

Re: Nobody Seeing Any DVD's Lately
We went to see 30 Days Of Night at the cinema when it first came out, hadn't read the graphic novel but enjoyed the movie alot.
Did you see the ending coming INH?
It's not out on DVD here yet, but I think its due sometime in April, certainly gonna pick it up when it comes out as I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Re: Nobody Seeing Any DVD's Lately
Not at all, jabba. The ending was a surprise and is one of the reasons why I enjoyed the film so much. Although it was abrupt (really didn't see it coming), I don't think I've seen that kind of approach to vampire slaying before, pretty refreshing and very cool.
I haven't read the graphic novel yet, but many of my friends say that it's even better than the film so I'll have to pick it up sometime.
What did you think of the vampires in the film? They're certainly different compared to the Anne Rice type vampires usually shown in movies.
