Re: Nobody Seeing Any DVD's Lately

The Ring and Ju On scare the living crap out of me for a while...

The reason Looper threw me for a loop was because the three kids Willis sets out to find, one of them just too coinicidentally happened to be the kid of his lady friend.

I was also wondering who Jeff Bridges young self would be and whether he'd show up.

A good ghost movie, have u watched Shutter?
It's a thai horror film, pretty good atmosphere n scares overall.

Make sure u get the thai original though, not the crappy American remake.

I saw the American Shutter in theaters when it came out. It was the last time I will ever spend money on an American remake of any foreign film. Just awful. That said, The Ring was awesome, never got around to watching Ringu though.

I finally watched The Possession, and it was alright but felt flat to me, missed out on a lot of good opportunity to really be special.

Sinister was a joke.

I didn't mind Lovely Molly, which was made by one of the Blair Witch Project directors. It wasn't great and is really more of a psychological movie than ghost story, but its got a good ending.

I watched ParaNorman tonight, it was a terrific stop motion movie you should all check out.

Made by the creators of Coraline, but it isn't written by Neil Gaiman, but was still quite good.

The kids enjoyed Frankenweenie more overall, but I liked ParaNorman more, it was more freaky. Both are awesome. Don't let the dorky titles scare you away.
