Re: Figma Action Figures by Max Factory

I got my first Figma today! Suzaku Wonderfest edition came. Low on the accessories, he just comes with the cat and some bandage stickers (they are just regular stickers like the ones that come with Zoids, and not as nice as the ones in the proto pics), but he also comes with an extra smiling Lamperouge head.

Thoughts: the quality is great! Now I haven't bought any Revoltechs recently, but I already think these are better. My friend still thinks RTs are great, and he argues that RTs have vastly improved since when I used to buy them regularly, but Figmas appear to be a joy to pose. They are delicate though!

Pics DEFINITELY are coming! (Although I have no idea what poses to put him in, since I've only watched 2 episodes of the show, so forgive me in advance!)

Hey Jun, btw, how are the Action Offshoot!! Code Geass robot figures? I also saw a Lancelot that seems to have more accessories (comes w/ Zero mini figure too), would that be better than the Offshoot one? Are they same size?

Ah the lancelot figure your talking about is the Mechanical Complete Model Z-01/A Lancelot Air Cavalry .
It has lots more accessories than the In Action Offshoot line and is slightly bigger in scale.
The cool thing is they offer a scale figure of Suzaku piloting in the cockpit & as u mentioned the Zero figure as well.

I didnt get this version as I find it less poseable as the off shoot series.

The off shoot series have less accessories than the above mentioned Lancelot, but its more articulated & cheaper.

I would recommend the Off Shoot series if u want to have a more complete collection of the code geass mechs. Cos so far they only released a single Lancelot for the Mechanical Complete Model.

U can find out more about the off shoot series here http://www.tamashii.jp/ (The site is available in english as well, just click on English Site at the top right hand corner)
They will be releasing two more figures in October which is the Burai & Burai Zero's Custom.
The Zero custom includes a to scale Zero figure though.click here for the picBurai Zero Custom

Thanks for the awesome info, Jun. I may have to start collecting these, maybe one or two each month! How is the quality of these guys? Are they flimsy? Breakable? Loose joints?

Also, I saw there are quite a few, which ones should I definitely get first? (before they're gone?)

Thanks again Jun-meister!

Just some "starter" pics of Suzaku Kururugi. You know, this is my first Figma and it comes with practically no accessories, but I've gotta say I'm so impressed with the quality! It's a pleasure to pose this toy and photograph it.

Nice pics of Suzaku!
Still contemplating whether to get him, as he is too expensive with little accessories.

For the Off Shoot line, if you really want a Lancelot get the newer version which I believe have all the accessories the 1st version had and the new flight pack and new gun.

The other must buy will have to be theGurren Nishiki U gotta watch the anime to know how cool this mech is.

Other recommended Mechs will be

Gloucester Cornelia Custom & the
Gloucester Guilford Custom

There are two Sutherland versions out there a normal standard & a purist version. Only differences are the colour & weapons (Purist ver has the knight lance, Normal ver has the Bazooka) There are like your generic foot soldiers or troopers, It will be nice if u can afford a troop of them.

Bandai is also starting a newline called Robot Tamashii, where they will be releasing the newer cooler fantastic version of Gurren & Zero's Shinkirou.

Thanks Jun!

This new line, will it be in scale w/ the Action Off Shoot line? Also is it higher quality or not?

I'm really close to buying an Off Shoot mecha right now.

I'm also hooked on these Figmas so I'm looking at the Nanoha Magical Lyrical Strikers figures.

Does anyone know the difference between the different Figma lines? i.e. Figma.BP, Figma.EX, Figma?
