Re: Transformers Movie toys
Leader BB's robot mode looks the most accurate yet but seeing as how the HA and Ultimate versions of the character seemed to warm shelves I do wonder why the hell Hasbro chose to make ye another large scale version that won't fit in with any other line.
I also think it's a bit lame how such a large scale version of BB still has one gun arm and one regular one. Why didn't the designers make the hand fold back and the gun a snap on attachment like the one on Leader Starscream?
On the whole I would have preferred any of the following in Leader Class scale,
Ironhide
Blackout/Grindor
Long Haul
The Fallen

Re: Transformers Movie toys
BB again?
I'm getting a little sick of him already.
Yeah, I really wish they would do a proper Blackout / Grindor, he deserves a good big scale treatment!

Re: Transformers Movie toys
Actually, I'm kinda sick of RotF toys now,
I still need Human Alliance Sideswipe and leader Starscream to finish off my collection... don't even feel like buying them to be honest...

Re: Transformers Movie toys
It would appear that BB isn't a Leader Class as first thought, not that it makes much difference to me as it looks kinda crappy in thoese latest pics anyway.
There's an intresting Voyager Class release coming up though.
Remember the G1 Minibot Seaspray that turned into a little hovercraft?
Now he's a BIG hovercraft!,

As the chunky robot mode and G1 color scheme isn't really fitting with the realistic Bayformers design aesthetic I think it will look excellent with the Classics

Re: Transformers Movie toys
I went down to the USA this weekend and picked up some Bay-formers, I got Dirge, Brawn and Armorhide. I've only opened Dirge so far, and he's decent.

Re: Transformers Movie toys
I went to USA today and got very lucky and found an animated Arcee at Toys R Us. Also picked up Cybertronian Ratchet, they were warming pegs. Also got Bludgeon and the Human Alliance Barricade (though he's aligned with Frenzy and not really a human).
It was worth the 2 hour drive!
Btw, Brawn is great too!

Re: Transformers Movie toys
I haven't bought many Movieverse TF's in recent months as I got a bit burnt out on the Bayformers style and certain ones not being released in the UK.
I got the aforementioned Voyager Class Seaspray for my birthday in July which is on display with my Classics Autobots and he fits in fine and is a fun toy as well, his headsculpt looks like he's wearing a scuba mask and his feet have little flippers that fold out which look a bit comical but anything that makes me smile is no bad thing.
I also got a beautifully repainted/modified Leader Class Optimus Prime from my friend which is the centerpiece of a mini display of the various Primes I have.
A couple of months went by and then all of a sudden a combination of UK retail stores getting new stock and an import store having a sale meant I added the following to my collection,
Battle Blades Bumblebee
( Best Deluxe BB yet and once my friend has customised it will be even better. )
Voyager Class Mindwipe
( Totally blew me away. The best jet former I've ever seen and there's an unofficial "fan mode" that's a perfect homage to G1 Mindwipe's alternate mode of a bat! )
Scout Class Skystalker
( Falls to bits a lot during transformation but is a fun little partner for Mindwipe. Is able to clip to Mindwipe's back in plane mode and a couple of fan combinations in robot mode are also possible. )
Deluxe Class Hailstorm
( Short, squat and full of win! )

Re: Transformers Movie toys
Cool! I didn't give Mindwipe much of a look but I'll give it another look. Battle blade Bumblebee? Oh no, not another BB...
