3A show

Hey guys, just been to the 3A show tonight. Very impressed with everything there, it is an amazing display of talent. I also took some time to chat with Ash and Jeremy when they weren't being surrounded by adoring fans. And they are super chill guys- very easy going and fun to talk with.

Im a bit sad however, since I lined up in the 'purchase' line for a good hour and then some, but didnt come away with any figures. I was no more than two people away from the counter when they announce that the NOMs, the TQs, and the Berties just sold out. No big deal I suppose. But I really think those guys look better than any of the past noms by far. So I picked up the prints and a bertie tshirt container.

Snapped some shots below:

For the whole set please see: http://jfin.smugmug.com/Events/3A-HK-VENTURE/10224764_LU895/1/704974357_jAdTr

Feel free to post them around. I've posted this on the 3A forum as well.

Awesome awesome pictures, MM! Thanks as always for sharing! Damn, you are a great photographer! What ISO, aperture and shutter speed were you using to capture these images with no flash? emoticon

thanks Kaido, but these are just on the fly shots, nothing spectacular.

For the camera settings, if you go to my album, you can view all the exif data. Its a pretty cool site.

But mainly shooting wide open aperture and high iso 1600 to 3200. It was fairly dark. Also some I did fire a flash for as well.

So far I have managed to stay away from 3A figures...but the Tomorrow Queen figures has caught my eye, those are some pretty unique bodies...arghhh I foresee a 3A purchase coming up soon.

thanks kaz, yea its the 2.8 15mm fisheye.

It was one of those impulse buys, I dont use it too much. But its small so I brought it with me that day. It has its moments.

I think fish eye lenses are really cool, would love to get one in the future!

Right now, I'm aiming for a 50mm but damn, the price differences between a f/1.4 & f/1.8 is really a lot.

Are the NOM Commanders the same other than the head sculpts within? If so, I'll just get one.
