Indiana Jones KOTCS

Whether you like the movie or not, I like old Indy. It's my favorite look after Ford's appearance in Raiders.
As this is a constant work in progress, I thought I would put this in the 'Custom' section, rather than hunt down the Medi Indy posts. I still want to try a molded neck body and different hands.
For sure:
Change the pants belt so the buckle is more in scale.
Want to replace Whip, gun belt and holster eventually.
Replace the rest of the shirt buttons and give him a whole new jacket.

I just got Mutt Williams which has rekindled my interest in the Medicom Indy figures. Did you do a neck or body swap on this figure already? If so, can you please let us know what parts you used? Medi Indy's neck is a bit too long and skinny.

I did do a repaint on the head...I wasn't going to as the sculpt is fantastic but I finally broke down and saw that I could add a bit more realism to it.

Currently:
It's on the Sideshow Prometheus (version 1).
BBI 305 Neck
Medi Shirt, buttons removed.
Medi gunbelt, painted.
Medi Shoes, repainted, extenders added.
Medi ROTLA Hat, paint wash added and rim shaved down.
Sideshow KOTCS pants, recolored.
Sideshow Holster, scuffed up.
Sideshow jacket.
Sideshow ROTLA Hands
Sideshow ROTLA Pistol (KOTCS gun on the way).
DID Charles Winstone Belt Buckle.
DID John Colemen Bag, modified with custom strap, buckle.

This is what I used for what you see in the pictures. I want to try a body with a molded neck and I'll be changing out some other things. I'll update the list as I go.

I changed the Medi shirt out with a Sideshow KOTCS shirt and pistol. I like the stitching and material better on the Medi shirt, but the collar is more characteristic of Indy on the Sideshow shirt. I also tried out a Soldier Story body with a molded neck. The neck and forearms had to be shaved down a bit. There are pros and cons of both, but I'm liking the overall look with the Soldier Story body...especially with the jacket on.

On the left is the Promethuis with BBi3.5 Neck Plug.
On the right is the Soldier Story Body.

Personally i think either way, he looks great, but the Soldier Story version has better shoulders. I think thats the biggest downfall of the Sideshow Pro body, droopy, weak looking shoulders.

Only problem i see with the Soldier story body is the neck doesn't match colour wise. Otherwise he looks great. Keep it up!

I agree...it's changing the color and getting it to stick right, without rubbing off during posing that's the trick.

Before it was on a current Soldier Story body...which I recommend if you're going to totally repaint the head to match the body color. It requires that you shave the neck and wrists down and modify for a proper wrist peg fit...and had better shoulder articulation than what I currently have it on:
The TTL body. I used this because it matches the skin color of the head the best. The only mod to the body is shaving the neck down a bit. For both mods a larger hole is drilled in the Medi Head and the rubber neck tube from the inside of the SS head is inserted so you can put the head on a ball joint.

Just pad his mid-section up slightly.

Received Michael Fisher's custom whip & holster. I was happy with how I'd distressed sideshow's but Mike's work just adds a higher level of cool to any Indy figure.
