Re: Problem with your Hot Toys figure? Ask Dr.Beast X !

I got War Machine today and have the following
issues with the light up features,

The eyes don't work.
( I've taken the head off to get a closer look at the LED and it comes on but only barely )

The repulsor light on the left hand is much dimmer than the right and also the arc reactor.

Are these likely battery issues?

Also what size screwdriver do I need to get so I can get the battery covers off?

^ Jeweller's screwdriver boxset... (1 dolar store, at least where I live)...

Just replace the AG1 batteries.... the ones HT uses are of bad quality and they tend to burst.

Thanks for the help!

I've ordered some more batteries and I'm going to go in search of the screwdriver set tomorrow!

Hey everyone, here's my little tip:

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BATTERIES IN YOUR FIGURES!

They will leak eventually. Guaranteed. Even MISB collectors should take out the batteries or risk battery leakage which could ruin the toy's functionality and value.

Public service announcement over! emoticon

Especially the cheap batteries Hot Toys uses...

I've been trying to think hard since posting about whether I have any figures out there that use batteries as well!

I got Snake Eyes Retaliation, and it's pretty good, but I have an issue with the fabric that goes around the neck.

There's a slight gap in the fabric around the neck on the right side that exposes the joint in the headsculpt, so I don't get a consistent smooth look. I pop the head up and try pulling it up, but seems I can't fix it. Move the head right and left and the problem comes up again.

Beast X, any suggestions?
