I can't believe I still haven't finished watching them all... they're kicking around in the DVD collection. It's hard to find time, so many shows. The Batman TV show that was designed by Joe Madureira was really well done as well, especially in later seasons... there were some really fantastic stories, including a Dark Knight Returns episode. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Kaido)Sun, 12 Jun 2011 22:21:04 +0000 Re: Green Lantern: Emerald Knightshttps://bmedicom.runboard.com/p315586,from=rss#post315586https://bmedicom.runboard.com/p315586,from=rss#post315586I'm glad that DC continues to put out these animated movies. But, with the exception of Batman: Gotham Knights, every one of these flicks have brought me back to the versions of the stories they told on the Justice League/JL Unlimited series (as well as the 1997 Batman/Superman show. Still think is was done better back then.nondisclosed_email@example.com (McHaleyArt)Sun, 12 Jun 2011 12:49:15 +0000 Re: Green Lantern: Emerald Knightshttps://bmedicom.runboard.com/p315575,from=rss#post315575https://bmedicom.runboard.com/p315575,from=rss#post315575I have this "ahem". But haven't watched it yet, will probably watch it first before I go see the movie. Was never a Green Lantern fan, the only time I read about him is thru those big DC Comics crossovers like Kingdom Come or was it Justice...can't remember.nondisclosed_email@example.com (kazukiJuN)Sun, 12 Jun 2011 03:24:05 +0000 Green Lantern: Emerald Knightshttps://bmedicom.runboard.com/p315572,from=rss#post315572https://bmedicom.runboard.com/p315572,from=rss#post315572While looking for a copy of All-Star Superman, I got GL:Emerald Knights on blu-ray instead yesterday, and it's not bad. I think the live action movie is going to be partly GL: First Flight and partly Emerald Knights. The opening was pretty shocking, and the show is told in a bunch of 'tales' and flashbacks as Hal Jordan speaks with the newest recruit to the GL Corps as they all get ready to face Krona, a super powerful godlike villain. We get the story of the first GL, a Kilowog story, an episode featuring a Green Lantern who greatly reminds me of that chick in the PS3 game Heavenly Sword, story about the GL Mogo, and a story with the alien who gave Hal his ring. The show was action packed and surprisingly violent with blood and lots of death. I only wish we saw more of Hal Jordan, he didn't really take centre stage in this show. Rather it mainly focused on a bunch of Green Lantern aliens I had not heard of before. Also, it's been a while, but I think the continuity of this movie was totally different from the first GL animated movie, GL: First Flight, which was too bad. Traitors from First Flight are still well and alive and are still good guys in this chapter. Speaking of First Flight, that one was good too, but I should probably rewatch that sometime. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Kaido)Sun, 12 Jun 2011 00:38:50 +0000
