1/4 HCG Mertopolis Maria Robot
There can never be too much photos of this beauty around, so I post a few. Got her last week. I absolutely love it - with exception of the base. LE 500, so, maybe we see more pictures of her pop up in the future.
Maria Robot (Metropolis, 1927 by Fritz Lang). Original design by Walter Schulze-Mittendorff.
The design of the robot has always intrigued me. I found this description on Wikipedia of the original 'character', as it was envisioned by writer Thea von Harbou. So haunting!
"The Maschinenmensch's back story is detailed in Thea von Harbou's original 1927 novel. It is described as a very delicate, but faceless, transparent figure made of crystal flesh with silver bones and its eyes filled with an expression of calm madness."
Although the Maschinenmensch now is a metal creature in the movie, I think Walter Schulze-Mittendorff perfectly caught the essence of the character in his robot creation.

Wow, it is beautiful and your pics as usual do her the justice she deserves, AA.
And is this a poseable figure or a statue?

Thx Kaido! It's a polystone 1/4 scale statue.
Wish someone would do a 1/6 figure one day...
