Warner Bros. Cartoon Discussion - Batman, Superman, JLA, Green Lantern, etc.
Just came back from Vegas, and hahaha, instead of gambling, I was watching Cartoon Network. I watched an episode of Batman: Brave and the Bold, which is pretty fun, and Young Justice, which is awesome. I can't wait for Young Justice to come out on Bluray or DVD. It's a group of young superheroes, I don't know all the characters yet (Aqualad, Robin, some Green Arrow girl, Kid Flash, Superboy, Brainiac's daughter?) and man, it's really cool. The episode I watched featured Aqualad, Aquaman, & Black Manta, but Batman & Clayface cameo'd in the beginning.
I also noticed that Batman: Year One was available for Pay Per View in the hotel room, even though it hasn't been released on DVD yet.
On this trip, I picked up All Star Superman (finally!), and noticed a Shazam vs. Black Adam animation... didn't know enough about it at the time, so didn't buy it this time.

Justice League: Doom was very good. I highly recommend it!
When the credits rolled, I was surprised to see that the entire animation team was from Japan/Asia.
Looks like the next project will be Superman vs. The Elites.

Yup. We had a very, very small crew on that one on over here in the U.S. All the other artists were on other shows.
Japan did the animation, while me and my fiance did the majority of the storyboards, and me and Phil (character designer) did most of the designs in a very, VERY short time.
You can read about the whole process here along with some of the original art work.

We were honestly surprised by the reviews...we were so ready for this production to panned due to how fast WB/DC wanted us to do it.

Finally watched this last night. IMO, the best one since Gotham Knights. Most of the new animated movies just leave me longing for Batman/Superman TAS and JL Unlimited...as those were so well done. Doom stands very well on it's own.

Re: Warner Bros. Cartoon Discussion - Batman, Superman, JLA, Green Lantern, etc.
I bought and watched Superman vs. the Elite and Superman/Batman Apocalypse (finally got it).
Both were good, but I enjoyed Justice League Doom more. It was pretty cool and a bit eerie to see in Superman vs. The Elite what would happen if Superman became 'darker' and didn't mind killing.
UNDICI, I agree that Darkseid's voice needed to be deeper!

Re: Warner Bros. Cartoon Discussion - Batman, Superman, JLA, Green Lantern, etc.
Anyone else watch Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox?
It was pretty damn awesome, though VERY violent and I think my 9 year old got a bit traumatized! I couldn't believe this was a WB cartoon! There were decapitations, graphic death by arrows, dismemberment, people getting disintegrated, shot dead, impaled, executed, kids and women being murdered, some swearing, and even an implied sex scene! Like I said, pretty damn awesome!
I never really knew how DC's "The New 52" came about, and now I know how Flashpoint was the origin point that changed everything... looks like the next feature, Justice League: War, will be based on the new 52 JLA origin story and I can't wait.
I still haven't gotten Superman Unbound yet.
