Re: Show off your Medicom figures here Part 2
thanks, guys!!the itch to snap pics is growing again i guess..heehee..
yap the superman fig is shorter than the takara bats..=)
abt that samurai fig..it rocks!!always wanted a samurai fig..and this fella came along at a reasonable price so i had to grab it!!its very very heavy, cos the armor is entirely made of diecast metal (minus the chainmail shirt beneath of cos..=p)!!i've heard that they tried to replicate this baby the same way as a full size suit of armor is being out together...and they claimed its hand sewn..not sure abt that though..heehee..headsculpt wise it deoends..under certain ligting its really cool..but i still prefer the jap version head, though they only provide one while the international version comes with 2 heads..=)..anyway this sculpt seem to resemble gordon liu (the chinese bald guy from kill bill vol 1&2)..so i woul assume that the jap verison headsculpt is more accurate historically..=)...but the body used beneath can be compared to sideshow...heehee..the joints are rather loose and the ankle articulation is not as good as u cnnt flatten the foot most of the time on the ground..weapons are cool...diecast,,hell even the helmet and face mask are all made of metal.another gripe is the lack of a stand..i had to use a medicom version stand..cos the bod is really heaby with all the srmor and stuff..=)
the jap verison is supposed to come with alot more stuff and more lavish packagin..but the international version is much cheaper and i guess there's not much ground to complain..oh..and i believe this baby is not really under a small production run so guys who wanna get this fig can still do so at cost price i think..hope this helps.cheers!! =D

Re: Show off your Medicom figures here Part 2
Sweet! Thanks for the info. Despite the sideshow'ish body, I still want one. I have a major soft spot for hostical warriors, and have spent quit a bit on Ignite's Crusader line, and recently got a Greek Hoplite too.
This Samurai though, has the most detailed armor I've ever seen. You're right about the Jap version, I've seen those on ebay too. He comes in a much bigger box with a bow & arrows, sword/armor stands, and probably more stuff I cant remember right now.
I also really want the evil Samurai that's out there. H looks so bad-ass with his black/furry armor and red mask/black helmet (with those huge horns) - so damn evil looking! I'm not sure if he has die-cast parts though, probably not because he's cheaper that the one you have.

Great shots Edwint and a nice way to take us into part 3 of this thread
--- The Doctor: People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect... but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly.... timey-wimey.... stuff.
