Re: Sideshow ROTS Obi Wan

it's good for the $50 but im dissapointed in the paint apps.

In my opinion, sideshow shouldnt even bother showcasing their prototypes at conventions if their production figures are going to look so far from it.

It's like SS wants to taunt us with "what could have been". 8(

$50 bucks I won't complain too much. I only hope they can change the body asap. I can repint the head myself, but I can't replace the body for each an every Sideshow figures that I bought. It hurts my wallet real bad !

Sideshow bodies seem a lot "clunkier" if that makes sense.

The RAH bodies are much more sleek and manouverable with better articulation IMO. But again there's the huge difference between the price point and you get what you pay for.

Re: Sideshow ROTS Obi Wan

Ok this is what I posted at RS.

"Okay guys, I've seen the item for myself.
I can safely say you cant depend on the prod pics.

The real item itself is pretty good. No where as bad as the pic showed.
Infact, I think this figure is very very well done.

BUT here's the thing. I saw the figure still in the box and the lighting at the shop was bad. The only light that was good was a spotlight with yellow lighting.

From what I can see(with the yellow light) the beard and hair on Obi is nowhere as dark brown as seen on the SSC prod pics.

It's so much better.
While saying that, iI dont think it's as good as the protos.
BUT it's definately BETTER than the new pics we've seen.

So I think this might be a homer. But I can confidently say that due to the suspect lighting.

So dont worry bout the bad paint ops, the real piece should be MUCH better.

Cheers!"

Ok , now that the prod pics are out. What's your opinions.

I think I understand what edwint was trying to say.
I think the paint apps arent anywhere as good as the proto and it clearly shows.

But apart from that. It's good for the $50.

haha...ya man..to cut it short..WE ALL DON BUY ALL THE GOOD STUFF NOW, DO WE??^___^..teehee..have fun with obi for those who like him and gettin him, guys..
