Re: The Superhero Cartoon Thread

The guy with the flame is the Exiled Prince Zuko of the fire Nation.Actually that's a scar left by his father during a Agni Kai(honour duel)

He starts out as the Villian and had to capture the Avatar(the chosen one) to regain his honour and be accepted back by his father, but eventually turned againts his father(Lord of the fire nations)

The kid with the arrows is Aang, he is the Avatar and the last of the airbenders. He trapped himdelf in a block of ice only to be released 100 years later to find his fellow air benders wiped out by the fire nation.

Whenever his life or the lives of his friends are in danger, he get into a trance and change into the "Avatar State" where his powers are Godlike but he has no control over himself as he has yet to master all the elements thus he becomes a danger to everyone when he's in that mode.

Pretty cool fighting. I guess it turns away ALOT of viewers due to the childish representaion of the main characters. If they were teenagers like Prince Zuko and have a bad @ss look, i'm sure this series would be even more successful.

It does look pretty cool but it's still not made it's way over to the UK Scarlet, not as far as I know anyway, I'll keep an eye out for it though, we get Nickelodeon here so it must be a matter of time.

Decided to troll through YouTube to see if I can find any episodes of the X-Men Animated Series to watch.

I mean the original version, I've got all of season one and the first half of season two of X-Men Evolution on DVD. I didn't mind Evo and thought it was quite good but nowhere near as good as the original, everything about that toon was spot on, well except Jubilee that is emoticon

Oh man found tons of episodes of Spider-Man, X-Men and the Fantastic Four animated series on Youtube. I'm soooo excited right now!!!

Just dragged the g/f upstairs to watch the Secret War three parter, which is probably about the only thing I'd drag her upstairs for these days ha ha emoticon

Venny I suggest spending some serious time on YouTube watching this stuff man, I'll convert you into a Marvelite yet emoticon.

I think season one and two and JLU came out in the states yesterday man, it was in Wizard and I'm planning to import the box set once it turns up on the UK website that I order from.

Should have it by Christmas if all goes well.

We never got the second season of the Marvel Action Hour from the mid ninties in the UK but there are episodes from season two of the FF on YouTube, I'll be watching them all.

Here's a link to a two minute preview of the next Lion's Gate animated Marvel feature which is the Iron Man movie.

I'm really looking forward to seeing old shell head get his own flick, I haven't seen Ultimates or Ultimates 2 yet, mainly because Ultimates just came out here a few weeks ago.

The G/F has bought me the DVD for Christmas and based on the clips on YouTube it looks pretty awesome.

I think I'll like it.

Here's the Iron Man link

My DCU animated addiction continues, I've just ordered all three Superman TAS boxsets, it may be old news to some, but I haven't seen any episodes passed the first few, so I'm looking forward to going through them all.
