Re: I'm starting to like Kubricks

Believe it or not I actually used to own the Batman Kubricks box set. Was it made by Medicom then, because if so I own Medicom figs I didn't realise I owned.

The set was comprised of Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Mr Freeze and The Scarecrow.

Weird selection particularly for the villains but they used to look cool sat on the window ledge in my old house. I think we lost them when we moved. They were also very tough and durable unlike the mini mates counter part by Marvel which were pretty weak to be honest.

Yep, that was Medicom.
They sold that box set mostly at comic shops and such in the US, and there was a variant of the box set with different colors for kubs that came out overseas.
Diamond (comic distributor) was blowing them out for $[sign in to see URL] awhile back, you can see lots of them on eBay now. The 400% Batman that came out is great too, and can be had for 15-20 bucks on eBay most of the time.

Yeah, Jedi Luke is pretty cheap.
Vader is about 15 bucks and Emperor can run
15 or so too.
Thats about it for Jedi and Sith. They have not done any prequel figures (yet), just OT stuff.

How come some of the Star Wars kubricks I've seen are carded like Hasbro figures and then others are in the windowless boxes.

Are the carded ones exclusives or something?

Carded ones are show exclusives. Usually Wonderfestival or WCC. A few have been given away at gallery shows (Parco Gallery), like Vader and Fett and Sandtrooper.
I only have 2 of the carded ones, Droids Fett and Droids R2, both of which are no longer carded, heh.
The Parco ones are usually pretty expensive (200$ or more most of the time)
