Snake627 - Thank you for your analysis & suggestion on the tone of my reply, Scott's stresses etc etc....
My first email was actually very polite, asking for help nicely etc...but then Mr Scott didnt really reply me with anything helpful/useful & neither did he answer all of my queries.
Of cos, as a Human, I began to felt irritated, especially after paying for your item and not getting any help from the customer service department. I then replied with a harsher tone.
That was when I got the sarcastic reply and all hell broke loose.
Trust me, I am usually very calm & polite. As I was a senior sales assistant before and my current job requires me to deal with lots of external agencies/communities/ important ppl that u can't afford to offend. I understand very well, the stress & problems faced by a customer service personnel. I have to put a mask on to work everyday, just to deal with all this ppl.
I could have been nicer to Mr Scott, if only he did the same to me. But he really crossed the line when he closed my account assuming I want nothing else to do with HLJ.com
Anyway, all thats left now is for them to contact me when my supposed lost item is sent back to them.
But well, I'll just wait and see what happens.
So glad you appreciate the effort Jun.
It'd be just plain pretty easy to bash on the other side, the outsiders.
And as much as I'd definitely like it better to side with you instantly because I think you're cool, it's just too darn predictable to be like most dudes here, and it's so much fun to play devil's advocate sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes. LOL
Best to see both sides of the fence instead of being trapped and narrowed by walls and familiars.
Your first reply was very calm and polite, it's a sure win if you could've sustained this. Although, his somewhat sarcastic reply redirected your responses and emotions which steered you away from your target objective... to the point where your account was even closed because of miscommunication. DAYM, that sucks man! Times like this when I feel like pulling out my high-powered pump-action water gun and start water shooting pussy cats in the hood with reckless abandon...then get a full body massage thereafter... LOL!
Only thing is your focus was to get to your desired result and leverage towards it instead of being caught off-guard and
out of balance.
If the other side becomes emotional or tries to affect you emotionally while you stay more and more cool, calm, collected and "unaffected", just focusing on your objective, you'd be the one in the advantageous position instead of being subjected to the interaction. It's not effective to be emotionally redirected at all in a negative way.
...Or maybe, I just had too much Sun Tzu and Musashi, etc. LOL.
Well, it's one of my passions.
Hopefully, we get good news out of this.
But well, let's just wait and see what happens.
But if worst comes to worst...feels best to drink till you drop and party hardy to keep the mind in a positive vibe. LOL

Re: BAD Experience with www.hlj.com
That sucks. They definitely did not handle the issue very gracefully.
However, I do think even if you entered the information correctly, you should have checked the address that was displayed on record in your account page before ordering. Unless of course it was displayed correctly, in such a case, I would be fuming.
But I totally understand whats its like when dealing with a rep that pretends to be playing by the book, but reeks of being a smartass.

To be honest, I've kinda calm down already and cant even bother about that item...

Re: BAD Experience with www.hlj.com
Talking about HLJ i requested my previous order be canceled because i can't cancel it from the system as i made a new order which contains some of the items in my previous order and i know the moment i make payment i will get charged for both orders, they canceled my previous order & now i can't log in. I'm guessing they also canceled my account.
I told them specifically why i wanted the order to be canceled.

Re: BAD Experience with www.hlj.com
Hello,
Sorry to hear everyone's horror stories with HLJ. I've never ordered from them before due to the fear of loosing my order via international s/h.
Can anyone suggest reliable dealers in the US? I found a few Disney VCD's from a site that seems to be pretty reliable and they offer free shipping!
Thanks

Re: BAD Experience with www.hlj.com
Overall, HLJ is very safe as is AmiAmi. However, some of their policies don't always work in their customer's favour.
Most online retailers are good. If you have a bad experience, be sure to post it here to warn others.
Over the years, I've used the services of many different online toy retailers with no issues. I mean ZERO. No lost packages, etc. The only time I've 'lost' packages is dealing with private sales and with some eBay transactions; so you need to be extra careful.
If you're not sure about an online store, just post and ask if people have used them before, etc. Someone's bound to have used them at some point.
