Ok Guys I got him. Sorry for the crappy pics. Just got home from work and too tired to fully fool around with the figure.

Re: Play Imaginative- Avengers- Iron Man MK VII diecast figure

My thoughts on the figure.

1. It feels hefty. The weight of the figure is due to the die cast parts of the figure, which happens to be most of it.

2. The proportion is awesome. I feel Play Imaginative captured the proportions of Mk VII better than HT did. But this is just my opinion.

3. The paint job is excellent. The hot rod red really glistens to light giving that cool metallic finish.

4. Articulation really suffered from the choice of using die-cast as the primary source of material. You can't really do extreme poses. Furthermore, it would really tough to do flight poses due to the weight. The stand would not be able to hold the weight.

5. Overall the figure is just awesome although details may not be as sharp compared to regular figures made of plastics/abs.

The weight and proportions of this figure just make him look and feel like a beast.I spent Singapore $395 and I feel it is worth the asking price. I will probably talk about the HOA another time.

Thks for sharing your thoughts scarlet!

I didnt want to sink into PI Iron Man cos I've already got the Hot Toys versions.

Then again at $395 for a full die cast figure, thats actually not bad considering some of HT non die-cast figures cost up to 300 n above.

Thanks bro. Yeah It's definitely good value. The figure despite its shortcomings, i.e poseabilty, is a damn sweet figure. Unfortunately I sold my mark 4 recently (infact all of my HT ironman figures) so I can't provide any comparison pics.

Its so heavy. I'm just sick of HT monopolising and using pressure tactics on distributors. I know I still buy their stuff but if I could, I will still support the other 1/6 companies.

Nice pics, SS. Thanks for sharing. I've read stories of bad QC, the shoulder armours are breaking off, etc. and Play Imaginative aren't getting back to people.

That's unfortunate. Mine came great except for the battery cover which had a paint smudge. Emailed PI and they mailed me a replacement.
